The Centre for Strategic Studies to Support Women and Children (CSSSWC) participated in the specialized training workshop on "Principles of Governance, Oversight, Transparency and Accountability", organized by the Foundation for Protecting the Law and Promoting Social Peace in Taiz Governorate.
The workshop, which is part of the "Pillars of Peace" project, targeted leaders and representatives of 12 local civil society organizations working in the fields of peacebuilding and governance, with the aim of raising institutional capabilities and enhancing their societal roles.
Representatives of the Centre discussed with the participants modern mechanisms to enhance community oversight, and ways to consolidate the principles of transparency and accountability within organizations, which reflect positively on the quality of humanitarian and development interventions.
It is noteworthy that this activity is implemented with funding from (DeepRoot) Consulting Company, and with support from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), within the framework of efforts aimed at promoting good governance and social peace in Yemen.
