The Center for Strategic Studies to Support Women and Children - Yemen is a civil, independent, and non-profit foundation that enjoys an independent and legal personality. It was established according to the law of civil associations and institutions No. (1) Year 2001 and its executive regulation on 20/12/2018 under the license of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor No. (80/ m), and its headquarters is in Taiz Governorate. It aims to support women, children specifically, and vulnerable and marginalized categories in general through specialized studies and research, contributing to developing strategies, policies, and special visions for empowering and improving the situations of women and children and all vulnerable and marginalized groups and protecting them from violence and discrimination, it also works through the projects, programs, and activities that directed to protecting the rights and the freedoms, enhancing democracy, good governance, peacebuilding, security, and development, and supporting formal and informal structures for the protection and care of battered women and children in conflict with the law. The Center interacts with all the international, regional, local, and civil parties through coordination and partnerships which contribute to achieving the Center's goals.
Vision
A Yemeni society in which women and children enjoy protection, justice, and active participation in public life, within a social environment that upholds rights, is grounded in knowledge, and is capable of adapting to the structural challenges of conflict and fragility.
Message
To generate strategic knowledge and provide practical, evidence-based solutions to empower and protect women, children, and vulnerable groups in Yemen; strengthen policy influence grounded in research and analysis; and build sustainable partnerships with the community and decision-makers.
General Goal
1- Raising community awareness of women's and children's issues and protection methods. 2- Promote peacebuilding at the local, regional, and national levels by involving women and children in efforts to support social cohesion. 3- Developing cognitive tools and mechanisms aimed at explaining societal phenomena and problems related to children and women. 4- Working to activate and develop partnership and coordination mechanisms with official authorities, local, regional, and international civil society, the media, and donors in a way that does not conflict with the center's objectives and applicable laws.
