To complement of the "Safe women" project, the Centre for Strategic Studies to Support Women and Children (CSSSWC) implemented, on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, a legal awareness session in Taiz governorate, as a part of a project to promote social and economic recovery and empower women-led civil society organizations in peacebuilding, through "Safe Women" project, in partnership with Sheba Youth Foundation for Development and United Nations Women's Organization (UN Women), and with support from Women, Peace and Humanitarian Action Fund (WPHF).
The session aimed to enhance women's awareness of their legal rights, and to introduce available protection mechanisms and legal referral paths, in a way that supports the integrated impact of mental health services, and contributes to enabling beneficiaries to deal with legal challenges related to violence and social pressures.
This session comes as a complementary part of the psychological and social interventions previously implemented within the project, promoting the comprehensive recovery of women and girls, supporting their ability to feel safe and make informed decisions that protect their rights and support their community participation.
The project's supporters emphasized that integrating legal awareness with mental health services represents an integrated approach to responding to women's needs, contributing to building a safer and more just environment, enhancing recovery pathways, and building community peace.
