The Center for Strategic Studies to Support Women and Children (CSSSWC) concluded the implementation of the Mental Health Services Program for Women and Girls in Taiz City, which has been implemented as part of a project to promote social and economic recovery and empower women-led civil society organizations in peacebuilding through the "Safe Women" project, in partnership with Sheba Youth Foundation for Development and the United Nations Women's Organization (UN Women), and with support from the Women, Peace and Humanitarian Action Fund (WPHF).
The program included implementing specialized group sessions in the field of mental health, which aimed at promoting mental health and a sense of security among women and girls and alleviating the effects of stress and traumatic experiences within a safe environment that takes into account privacy and the societal context.
The project's supporters stressed that these services contribute to supporting the psychological and social recovery of the beneficiaries and enhancing their ability to adapt and endure, pointing out the importance of sustaining mental health services and integrating them into recovery and peacebuilding programs, as they have a direct impact on improving the quality of life and enhancing community cohesion.
